By combining highly experienced corporate attorneys with cloud-based software that unlocks valuable data within contracts, our client offers a scalable, end-to-end solution for negotiating and managing routine legal work. The paralegal will be an essential team member for our client's growing Lawyer Partner Enablement team. Working directly with our Product team, the Summary Specialist will own all aspects of the document summary process, identifying and highlighting relevant parts of legal documents. Summaries play a key role in helping customers get fast information about the terms of their agreements. The Summary Specialist / Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing documents, identifying key legal terms in documents, and highlighting those terms for a quick display to customers.

Primary Responsibility

What you'll do

  • Complete Document Summaries: Create summaries by accurately and efficiently summarizing legal documents to assist customers and legal partners.
  • Identify Key Legal Terms In Documents: You'll be the expert on identification of non-solicits, non-circumvents, standstills, the definition of representatives, and everything in-between
  • Provide Key Insights Into Improving Summaries: Your voice will be instrumental in improving the summary experience for our customers and legal partners.

  • Experience With Legal Contracts (NDA experience preferred): Being able to read and identify contract terms will be central to your success as a Summary Specialist
  • Organization: A proven ability to balance multiple workstreams at once
  • Attention to detail: Identifying legal provisions correctly takes a keen eye
  • Driven and quick learner: Intellectually curious; eager to learn about new concepts and legal documents, interest in legal technology and innovation
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Law Graduate
  • 2-3 years experience as a paralegal or assistant in a law firm
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in routine document processing
  • Pass required exams (language, typing, and spelling, information extraction, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute high volume requests
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Process-oriented and focused on efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
