Accountant-CPA (Remote - APAC)

Your Mission

Ensure accurate, compliant financial operations with a focus on revenue accounting and automation to support TrackStreet's global growth.

Your Role

The Accountant, with a strong emphasis on revenue accounting, operational efficiency, or automation expertise, will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position involves a combination of routine accounts receivable functions, payroll processing, accounts payable support, general ledger maintenance, and active participation in special projects. Success in this role requires strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry postings, and accurate, organized reporting.
• Process monthly revenue tasks, including reconciliations, posting of entries, and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist auditors as needed.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Support accounts receivable tasks, including contract uploads, billing, invoicing, and cash application.
• Manage customer relationships and resolve billing issues.
• Process monthly payroll activities, including payroll runs and payroll entries.
• Assist with investor and bank reporting.
• Manage emails effectively within Zendesk.
• Know how to manage the project management tool in a timely and proactive manner.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform ad hoc tasks, financial analysis, and process improvement projects as needed.

Requirements/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounts receivable, payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Knowledgeable in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Experience working with US-based SaaS companies.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Tech-savvy accountant with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools.
