Position Summary:

Major responsibilities of a Buyer/Planner III include the overall SIOP of assigned business, management and tracking of inventory/supply levels of the assigned product class to support customer demand through close coordination with the BBR Supervisor and Category Manager. Responsibilities include reviewing and releasing MRP signals, executing Purchase Orders, managing supplier delivery and communication, and maintaining target inventory levels as specified by the KPIs. The Buyer/Planner III also supports Category Manager and Supply Chain activities and projects that drive improvements.

Handles inventory and supply with high spend commodities to support a more complex product class while still having a direct impact on customer satisfaction and Company cash flow through inventory DIO.

Possesses strong analytical skills and utilizes different planning reports to determine risk in supply availability, inventory level, inventory aging, and past due reduction. Serves as a backup for Buyer/Planner I and II. Works with the Buy Branded Material Supervisor and Category Manager by recommending solutions and resolving conflicts in current and future planning periods. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Buying/Planning functions in Oracle/SAP.

A Buyer/Planner III can manage non-routine and complex problems, communicate information, and work under minimum supervision. Also supports other core supply chain transactions related to supplier management and inventory management.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

• Education: 4-year degree related to supply chain, logistics, business, engineering or manufacturing
• Experience: At least 3 years' experience in supply chain management, including purchasing and/or supply planning
• Good analytical skills
• Team player with leadership capabilities in projects
• Above average verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of SAP and ORACLE database level systems, as well as proficiency in electronic collaboration tools
• Ability to adopt and analyze processes, enact change, and think operationally and strategically to achieve business goals
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, multi-task environment

Major Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with SIOP goals and directives, conduct monthly shipment and inventory planning.
• Develop and execute supply chain improvement projects to support sustainable stock availability and reduce excess inventory.
• Perform daily projections of results and identify risks/gaps in achieving monthly goals related to shipments, past due backlogs, and inventory, reporting during scheduled team meetings.
• Conduct inventory excess and obsolete scrubbing and produce actions to reduce and avoid further buildup.
• Monitor Finished Goods inventory and supply levels, ensuring timely and cost-effective fulfillment of requirements for the assigned product class while maintaining stocking levels (DSA) within established guidelines.
• Develop and execute action plans utilizing the system according to standard operating procedures, including purchase order management and execution, while coordinating with internal and external parties to resolve supply constraints impacting Total Customer Satisfaction, Supply Availability, and Inventory Objectives.
• Review Open Purchase Orders and Backlogs daily to expedite and schedule push outs of excess supply to suppliers as required, updating system dock dates.
• Manage supplier performance specifically related to on-time delivery, quantity, and cost through focused supplier communication, escalating issues to immediate superiors as needed.
• Maintain deep working knowledge of different product classes to ensure robustness of the supply plan.
• Compile, analyze, and present data-driven information to monitor and control performance, including inventory opportunities, planning parameters, and action item commitments.
• Collaborate with various business functions to address issues affecting materials availability and ensure alignment of material plans with Sales and Demand Plans.
• Perform system part maintenance and new part setup.
• Manage assigned parts in Salesforce to support customer requirements.
• Project Management Lead for BBR Buyer/Planner Oracle and/or SAP Integration.
• Support BBR Global projects assigned by the Material Supervisor and Category Manager, including but not limited to E-Sourcing activity and Pricing Analysis/Savings.
• Lead and collaborate with BBR and different cross-functional teams on activities supporting the business's tactical and strategic plans.
• Perform other tasks and ad hoc requests from the BBR Supervisor and Category Manager, supporting Company activities.
