SCRUM MASTER

We are looking for a Scrum Master who will facilitate and support team progress towards successful delivery of team goals derived from customer requests. This role will work across verticals to monitor and report on performance metrics using Jira, Confluence, Google Drive, Quip, and Slack.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Runs Agile SDLC using both Scrum and Kanban.
  2. Plans and facilitates all agile ceremonies in collaboration with the product owner, including refinements, iteration planning, retrospectives, demos, and daily stand-ups.
  3. Understands program goals and works with program management, product owner, and development team to estimate target timelines based on team capacity and velocity.
  4. Facilitates and supports teams progress towards successful delivery of the team goals.
  5. Removes impediments that would prevent the team from achieving its sprint and release goals.
  6. Analyzes team's self-reported data and identifies opportunities for agile coaching and process improvement.
  7. Creates reports and dashboards to understand team progress against goals and timelines, identifies any areas of risk that need to be addressed, and helps to mitigate risks and provide updated timeline estimates.
  8. Assists with ongoing Jira & Confluence needs for the teams as an Admin.
  9. Creates automated tools (Jira subscriptions, Quip velocity worksheet) to help teams monitor their process and progress.
  10. Supports the team's Jira and Confluence needs in an administrative function.
  11. Mentors Product Owners to make daily decisions to keep the project in motion and empowers them to partner with business stakeholders to make more strategic decisions.
  12. Cultivates an Agile mindset in all team members where problems are embraced as welcome opportunities to adapt.
  13. Provides updates and statuses as required.
  14. Generates time tracking reports for project reporting.
  15. Coordinates various team and process calendars.
  16. Captures feedback to foster collaboration, motivation, satisfaction, and productivity amongst the teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Familiarity with Software life cycles and development frameworks (Agile, Lean, SAFe).
  2. Experience with the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence).
  3. Extremely detail-oriented.
  4. Possess emotional intelligence to balance the different types of team members and personalities across the team.
  5. Proactive with the ability to plan and manage their own time.
  6. Ability to balance program priorities with the needs of the development teams.
  7. Must be solution curious and be able to propose improvement suggestions.
  8. Able to perform repetitive status and reporting tasks for extended periods of time.
  9. Consistent, reliable performance and the ability to follow established procedures and workflows.
  10. Ability to stay motivated and focused.
  11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Previous data collection and analysis experience.
  13. Ability to present to Director and above as needed.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
  1. Scrum Master Certification is desired, not required.
  2. Scrum Coach certification is nice-to-have.
  3. Experience coaching at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies is nice-to-have.
