JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  2. Developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety policies, procedures, and training programs for our construction team.
  3. Providing safety guidance and support to project managers and site supervisors to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  4. Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Promoting a strong safety culture and actively engaging with workers to encourage safe behaviors and practices.
  6. Other duties and responsibilities as may be required of the Safety Officer.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or any related field of study with scholastic discipline.
  2. Training in Basic Occupational Safety and Health in Construction (BOSH) and Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH).
  3. First Aid training course is an advantage.
  4. At least two (2) years of working experience in a related field (Safety) is required for this position.
  5. Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the construction sector.
  6. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with workers, management, and external stakeholders.
  8. Proactive and committed to continuous improvement in safety practices.

Other Information:

  1. Willing to go on out-of-town assignments.
  2. Must be able to be mobilized within a short notice period.
