Job Description

The Network Operation Centre (NOC) has three main roles:

  1. Ensure maximum service availability and performance
  2. Provision customer network services on core equipment
  3. Provide support services for Engineering and other technical teams

Our engineers handle a diverse range of duties, which must be fulfilled promptly, cooperatively, and professionally. Effective communication with technical support, service provisioning, and sales teams is essential.

Close collaboration with the Engineering team requires a good understanding of systems and networks. Diligence, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization are key skills. Training and research are encouraged for skill development.

As your expertise grows, you may join our 24x7 call-out rotation supporting our core network and services.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Monitoring Systems
  • Perform fault troubleshooting, problem isolation, and corrective actions or escalate as needed
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers for troubleshooting, upgrades, and network changes
  • Provision and configure core network devices and tools
  • Build, install, and configure network equipment
  • Conduct hardware, serial number, security, and configuration audits
  • Develop custom monitoring plugins and configure graphing tools
  • Maintain technical documentation and processes
  • Enhance skills in network and system administration
  • Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for core network and services
  • Participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation if required
Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years' experience in Network Operations. Preferred advanced skills in:

  • TCP/IP routing protocols: STP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSec
  • WAN technologies
  • Routing, switching, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran)
  • VOIP, VPNs, security protocols
  • SD-WAN deployment
  • Certifications: JNCIA or CCNA required; JNCIP or CCNP preferred
  • Linux OS/networking
  • Device monitoring and management tools
  • Network troubleshooting and monitoring

Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment with limited supervision.
