Role description:

The General Accounting Analyst performs the timely and accurate record keeping of the general accounting related deliverables which includes, but not limited to Treasury Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Lease Accounting, Period-end closing, Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation, Tax and Statutory reporting, in accordance with agreed service level agreement.

Role accountabilities:
  1. Ensures that invoices are validated and coded timely to the valid Purchase Order and the correct account codes.
  2. Initiates the approval of the invoices to the authorized approvers based on the approval matrix.
  3. Inputs intercompany data into the ERP system.
  4. Ensures that intercompany invoices received conform with Arcadis' invoicing requirements.
  5. Responds to basic intercompany invoice, reports, and payment inquiries.
  6. Ensures that Service Level Agreement is followed when processing intercompany invoices and responding to intercompany queries.
  7. Performs reconciliations between incoming invoices and processed invoices within the mailbox system.
  8. Validates the alignment of Intercompany-supplier statements with ledger entries.
  9. Assists in preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  10. Reconciles transactions between sub-ledger and general ledger accounts in the Accounts Payable domain.
  11. Demonstrates capacity to address inquiries and audit requests promptly and accurately.
  12. Maintains close collaboration with the Global Intercompany Team.
  13. Regularly updates both individual and team performance metrics.
  14. Systematically files and archives supporting documentation.
  15. Monitors and administers the mailbox system, assigning invoices to specific regional folders to ensure effective management.
  16. Prepares month-end journal reports, specifically addressing intercompany accruals for any unaccounted invoices.
  17. Assists with monthly preparation of VAT validation and reconciliation.
  18. Prepares and maintains non-critical account reconciliation and ensures that relevant schedules and analyses are available monthly.
  19. Assists in quarterly Intercompany reconciliation and matching in Onestream.
  20. Prepares and maintains process documentation and flowcharts.
  21. Provides audit requirements during interim and year-end financial audit.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Bachelor's/College Degree, major in Accountancy is required; CPA is an advantage.
  2. 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in financial/general accounting, audit.
  3. Exposure in Shared service or Multinational environment is an advantage.
  4. Experience in ERP systems is preferred.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft applications is required.
  6. Result-oriented and attention to details.
  7. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Proactive and a committed team player.
  10. Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines.
