POSITION SUMMARY:
The Elite Supervisor, Korean VIP provides direct support to the business unit management team in the aim of achieving successful implementation, development and maintenance of all operational procedures, standards and goals. Responsibility also lies in maintaining the business operations. Through supervising and planning of individual shifts, participation, continuous development of employees and leadership while ensuring optimum quality service to customers at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service
- Ensure that all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
- Ensure that direct reports also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
- Handle all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- Establish a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
- Personally verify that guests in the Outlet are receiving the best possible service.
Operational
- Ensure that minimum brand standards have been implemented.
- Respond to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensure that the relevant changes are implemented.
- Ensure that direct reports work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
- Conduct monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
- Liaise with the Kitchen and Beverage Department on daily operations and quality control.
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.
- Ensure that the outlet is kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house.
- Complete the daily responsibilities that are set for each individual shift.
- Review order dockets ensuring accurate and timely prepare the food and beverage requirements accordingly.
- Recognize the step of the billing process.
- Anticipate for any unexpected guest need and react promptly.
- Communicate effectively to know the daily task assign.
- Maintain back up supplies stock for the daily operations and to anticipated busy demands.
Other Duties
- Understand and strictly adhere to Rules and Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
- Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
- Respond to changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.
- Recommend and/or execute management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by superiors due to business requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of F & B service experience in 5 star international hotels/resorts, and/or in freestanding restaurants, of which 1 year in a restaurant Supervisor level.
- Casino hotel F & B supervisor experience and new projects opening or renovations would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices, such as HACCP.
Education
- Preferably a Diploma holder in Hospitality Business Management or any related course.
Skills / Competencies
- Ability to converse fluently in Korean Language.
- Display a high level of integrity and commitment to customer service.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must proficient in verbal and written English language.
- Ability to speak /foreign language is required (Korean).
