Team And Role Introduction

Sortation supervisor is responsible for obtaining directions and instructions from the Management, discussing and implementing the same with the team. Lead the team, ensuring to reach their goals in providing productive work and customer satisfaction. Responsible for day-to-day sort operations and monitoring workforce, reporting any concerns regarding outsourced manpower.

Responsibilities

  1. Identifies gaps in underachieved hourly productivity on Unload, Machine and Manual Inbound, Sort, and Dispatch.
  2. Provides analysis for call outs on gaps between Arrive, Unload, Inbound, Sort, and Dispatch volume encountered during operation.
  3. Ensures docks are open based on unloading capacity.
  4. Ensures unloading time is within SLA.
  5. Ensures that the suggested manpower plan is implemented correctly.
  6. Drives the team in compliance with agreed SLA of Inbounding cut-off time.
  7. Drives the team to achieve hourly targets for Unload, Machine and Manual Inbound, Sort, and Dispatch.
  8. Ensures machine utilization is prioritized.
  9. Drives the team in compliance with agreed Cut Off Time for Inbound, Sort, and Dispatch.
  10. Reallocates headcount from one area to another that needs attention if needed.
  11. Adjusts Sort Logic on Mushroom based on prioritization of OB.
  12. Initiates requests for additional manpower and overtime if needed to the duty manager.
  13. Ensures all system configurations for both machine and manuals are up to date.
  14. Drives to achieve the overall target truck utilization.
  15. Ensures trucks bound for different Tier destinations are dispatched on agreed schedule.
  16. Ensures dispatch plan provided by LHS Planner is executed on the ground.
  17. Monitors and ensures truck vendor compliance with lead time requirements.
  18. Ensures issues and escalations are attended to within SLA, including weekends and holidays.
  19. Validates and reports demurrage and foul trip claims.
  20. Reports quality and safety issues.

Job Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications (must have):

  1. Degree holder of any 4-year course.
  2. At least 2-year work experience in logistics or other related industry and in supervisory roles would be an advantage.
  3. Above average oral and written communication skills; competence in MS applications, specifically MS Excel, graphs, and other data presentations.
  4. Performance and KPI-driven, can work with minimal supervision.

Experienced Leader in Sortation Operations within Logistics Industry.
