About the Role/Project

We are seeking an experienced Advanced/Senior SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SD solutions, with a strong focus on both project implementation and ongoing support. As a Senior SAP SD Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of SAP SD modules, providing post-go-live support, and continuously optimizing SAP solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of SAP SD solutions and to streamline sales and distribution processes. You will also be tasked with identifying areas for improvement within the SAP SD landscape, driving process enhancements, and ensuring that the system is aligned with the organization's changing business requirements.

Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of extensive experience in SAP SD configuration and implementation, with a strong focus on S/4HANA expertise.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience providing application support for SAP SD, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and post-go-live support.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) processes, including order-to-cash (O2C), sales order management, pricing, billing, and integration with other modules like MM, FICO, and WM.
• Proven success in delivering at least two (2) full-cycle SAP SD implementation projects, from solution design to post-implementation support, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated expertise in application support, troubleshooting, and optimizing SAP SD solutions to ensure smooth system performance and ongoing business operations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor more junior consultants, and collaborate effectively with clients.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to resolve complex technical and business challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive approach to client engagement and relationship management.
• Bachelor's degree in any IT-related field.
• SAP Certification is highly preferred and regarded as a significant asset for this role.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesSAP SD Solution Design & Configuration:

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SD solutions across a wide range of business processes, including Sales Order Management, Order-to-Cash, Master Data, Pricing, Text, and Output, Credit Management, e-Invoicing, Intrastat Reporting, MES integration, Query.
• Oversee the configuration of SAP SD modules, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet the specific needs of the client's business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, define the requirement scope, and translate them into clear functional specifications.
• Provide hands-on expertise in configuring SAP SD solutions that are scalable, flexible, and effectively aligned with the organization's sales and distribution processes.
• Design and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly with other SAP modules, ensuring cross-functional alignment.

SAP Implementation Project:

• Work on end-to-end implementation of SAP SD in S/4HANA, managing all phases including system configuration, testing, deployment, and final solution delivery, ensuring smooth and seamless integration into the client's business environment.
• Configure SAP SD modules in alignment with business requirements, leveraging industry best practices to streamline and optimize sales order management, delivery processing, billing, and other relevant processes.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project timelines and deliverables, driving the successful execution of the SAP SD implementation while mitigating risks and addressing challenges.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities for end-users, empowering them with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize the new SAP SD solutions effectively, ensuring smooth system adoption.
• Provide strategic guidance on SAP SD functionalities, system capabilities, limitations, and industry-specific solutions, ensuring the solution maximizes business value and aligns with organizational objectives.
• Support clients in identifying and executing process improvements and optimizations within the SAP SD landscape, driving greater operational efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and improving overall business performance.
• Ensure continuous post-implementation support for SAP SD, troubleshooting issues, providing system maintenance, and delivering timely updates to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (such as SAP MM, FICO, and PP) to ensure seamless integration and alignment between SAP SD and other SAP modules, optimizing end-to-end business processes.

Integration & Testing:

• Lead integration efforts across SAP SD and other SAP modules (MM, PP, QM, WM/eWM, FICO, etc.) and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and optimizing end-to-end business processes.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for SAP SD, including unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring the solution meets business requirements and performance standards.
• Collaborate closely with business users and stakeholders during UAT to validate the final SAP SD solution, addressing any issues or gaps identified during testing to ensure successful system adoption.

Support & Optimization:

• Provide ongoing post-implementation assistance for SAP SD to ensure optimal system performance, addressing and resolving any operational or user-related challenges as they arise.
• Proactively identify recurring system issues or process inefficiencies within SAP SD and implement corrective measures to prevent future disruptions or performance decline.
• Partner with business users and technical teams to resolve critical incidents, prioritize change requests, and apply system upgrades to accommodate evolving business requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis for persistent issues within SAP SD processes and deliver practical solutions to address underlying challenges, ensuring sustained system stability and functionality.
• Continuously monitor SAP SD system performance and collaborate with technical teams to fine-tune configurations, ensuring the system operates at peak efficiency.
• Update and manage functional documentation for SAP SD, including system design, configuration modifications, testing protocols, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge transfer materials, to ensure clear communication across teams.
