What is the GSE Mechanic, Non-Motorized role here in 1Aviation?

Provides repair and overhaul of non-motorized equipment and other aircraft ground support facilities.

What you will do:

  1. Ensures that 1Aviation's Vision, Mission and Values are achieved.
  2. Promotes and ensures compliance to Quality, Safety, Security and Customer Service standard based on regulatory requirements, government laws, acceptable industry standards and company policies and procedures.
  3. Checks the mechanical systems and related equipment of non-motor vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and pinpoint areas of systems where corrective actions are needed.
  4. Checks mechanical and removes from non-motorized ground servicing equipment and performs the necessary repair, overhaul or modification of parts or components to maintain them serviceable always.
  5. Tests and adjusts units and/or assemblies of all mechanical systems, equipment of all non-motorized ground servicing equipment in accordance with the Manufacturer's specifications and company procedures.
  6. Executes all assigned work in an efficient and cost-effective manner in order to maximize the utilization of the Company's resources of manpower, materials, equipment and facilities.
  7. Signs-off accomplished tasks on applicable company/regulatory records and accomplishes other forms and related paperwork that are needed in the performance of his duties.
  8. Maintains a clean working environment at all times and follows all company safety rules and regulations.
  9. Is responsible for accomplishing the regular preventive maintenance schedule of all aircraft ground support equipment.
  10. Responsible for securing and updating his ramp operations and AMA-GECN driving permit.
  11. Responsible for ensuring the completeness of his hand tools.
  12. Assists GSE Maintenance Supervisor in accomplishing their task in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  13. In-charge of dispatching/receiving of non-motorized GSE to Equipment Operators in good condition.
  14. Undertakes assignments or other related duties as the GSE Maintenance Supervisor may assign.
  15. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Immediate Superior.

An ideal candidate for the role should possess the following:

  1. Must be at least 2nd year college.
  2. Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment.
  3. TESDA Certified NC II (Welding) is an advantage.
  4. Must possess Valid Driver's License 1 2 3 (4 & 8 is an advantage).
  5. Must have a good analytical knowledge in equipment troubleshooting.
