The Risk Finance Specialist is responsible for providing support on the development and implementation of risk finance and risk management programs of the company and the designing of its processes, policies and procedures.

Strategy and Performance Management
  • Provides assistance in the Strategic Planning based on the assessment of internal and external factors.
  • Provides support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions).
  • Initiates the Strategic planning review.
  • Facilitates the conduct of the context of the organization requirement.
  • Monitors monthly and quarterly implementation of strategic and performance management.
  • Ensures monthly review and submission of Tier 2 scorecards for monitoring purposes and collates and presents Tier 2 reports to the Opscomm quarterly.
  • Facilitates quarterly tier 2 performance review by Opscomm.
  • Provides assistance in the management and facilitation of the risk assessment and coordination in the development of risk response.
  • Monitors and reviews processes to ensure compliance to overall risk management.
  • Facilitates quarterly risk management review by Opscomm.
  • Assists in the development of contingency and business continuity programs.
  • Conducts BCP testing and exercises, as well as preparation of evaluation reports.
  • Assists in risk reporting to AEV/AP Risk management groups, concerned managers or departments.
  • Conducts risk finance activities such as:
  • Analyzes and periodically reviews all insurance policies and endorsements for further enhancement in coverage terms and conditions.
  • Monitors and reports the status of insurance management programs.
  • Coordinates with internal/external contacts on the procurement/renewal/billing/dissemination of information/other insurance concerns.
  • Facilitates payment of invoices of insurance policies and other insurance-related services.
  • Provides analysis with respect to insurance compensability of major incidents resulting to damage to assets/loss of revenue.
  • Engages with service providers in supplementing necessary information for various risk finance activities such as but not limited to risk engineering surveys, asset valuations, and claims inspections.
  • Maintains records of losses incidents and provides updates to management as to status, compensability, and statistics of the organization's incurred losses.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of any Bachelor's degree holder, preferably with MBA or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferably had one (1) year experience in a technical or professional position involving the exercise of judgment, problem solving, and communication with other managerial or professional personnel, peers, customers and/or other interested parties.
  • Preferably with 2-3 years of experience in a power industry or power generation.

The position holder is responsible for supporting ARI and working together with AP|AEV and external insurance brokers towards the effective acquisition and management of the organization's non-life insurance programs and other related insurance requirements. Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following: Lead and/or support the end-to-end procurement, negotiation and management of the insurance requirements of the group; maximization of claims recovery from the insurance policies while minimizing costs and still manage potential risk exposure. Lead and/or support insurance related project and financing requirements such as but not limited to lender's insurance requirements as well as bonds (e.g. performance, surety, etc.) and/or similar guarantee requirements in coordination with the insurance broker.
