POSITION OBJECTIVE / JOB SUMMARY:
The Service Desk Specialist I is responsible for providing Level 1 support to all customers for supported software and computing platforms in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. This includes support via phone, email, or remote connection while adhering to service management principles and customer satisfaction standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical assistance on software, hardware, and IT services via multiple channels (email, phone, remote).

  • Maintain high customer service quality and follow escalation and handover procedures.

  • Log and track incidents with accurate documentation and resolution updates.

  • Coordinate with internal IT teams to meet SLAs and operational standards.

  • Ensure documentation is maintained for all support activities and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience: At least 1 year in Help Desk or IT support roles.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office and Windows OS (Windows 7, 10, Server 2003+)

    • Basic knowledge of SQL, remote support tools, and ticketing systems

  • Language: Must be French-speaking (written and verbal fluency required)

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, customer orientation, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under minimal supervision.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Willingness to work on shifting schedules to support 24x7 operations.

  • Occasional long hours depending on ticket volumes or urgent issues.
