We're looking to recruit an outstanding Mathematics/Science Teacher to join our Manila school, a Nord Anglia Education school.

You'll help us create and maintain a positive learning environment for NAISM Secondary School students.

You'll explain why the subject being taught is relevant and valuable in a real-life context.

As a genuine team player, you'll work across our central, regional, and local teams to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Everything we do is connected to our vision to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens who will change our world for the better.

Your role will impact the organisation by being a critical team player in the expansion and development of NAISM.

ENGAGEMENT AND INTERACTION – SCHOOL AMBASSADOR TO INTERNAL COMMUNITY

1. Inspire trust and confidence in students, colleagues, and parents.
2. Use school assessment and self-evaluation processes to advance student learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school's aspirations and priorities.
3. Contribute to school improvement planning and promote the learning priorities of the school improvement plan.
4. Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school.

LEARNING AND TEACHING

1. Ensure the effective teaching and management of classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and the best use is made of teaching time.
2. Set high expectations for pupils' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of behaviour management through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships in accordance with the rules and behaviour policy of the school.

PLANNING AND PREPARATION

1. Identify clear teaching objectives, content, structures, and sequences of lessons appropriate to the educational needs of the pupils in your class.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

1. Understand the need to take responsibility for your own professional development and to keep up to date with research and developments in pedagogy as relevant to your own department and mainstream departments.

1. Degree in a relevant subject AND a relevant professional teaching qualification.
2. UK qualification with QTS status or Equivalent.
3. Extensive experience teaching in a secondary (and ideally international) school environment.
4. Proven track record of success in IGCSE/AS/A level examinations.
5. A positive, 'can-do' work ethic.
6. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
7. Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
8. Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
9. Results-oriented with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
10. Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
11. You'd like to work in a purpose-led sector.
