Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for providing legal and labor support to the company including contract review, legal expertise on labor-related issues, contractual obligations, and general corporate law.
  2. Coordination with external parties (vendors, government agencies, company legal counsel).
  3. Serves as the company's official representative on any labor litigation and criminal litigation cases, unless otherwise directed. Works closely with HR Business Partners in ensuring compliance to labor laws.
  4. Serves as the in-house expert on labor and is expected to research, develop and educate/train HR professionals and line management regarding labor laws and other pertinent legal matters affecting the business.
  5. Conducts ongoing legal research, drafts legal opinions and contracts, as well as document preparation for labor or criminal litigation and other contractual agreements that the company enters into. This includes any legal requirements for filing with NLRC or DOLE.
  6. Serves as the primary point of contact for PH leadership (e.g. Finance or HR) regarding vendor contract review and negotiations in case there are conflicts regarding contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree
  2. Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Law or equivalent
  3. At least 6-8 years of relevant labor experience
  4. Above Average problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Excellent public presentation skills.
  7. Willing to work at least once a week in Pasig.
