Job Description
The Head of Sales of Business Unit (Product Strategic Business Unit - PSBU) is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy both from the regional and local unit to achieve sales, revenue and profitability goals. This role involves overseeing the sales team, fostering relationships with key clients, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets year on year business growth. The Head of Sales of Business Unit also collaborates with marketing, engineering, corporate support, other business units and regional team to drive business growth.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans.
- Lead, motivate, and drive the sales team with the right sales discipline and customer centric to achieve individual and team targets.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, focusing on long-term partnerships in areas for industries.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports, and present insights to senior management both local and regional.
- Collaborate with marketing to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns.
- Conduct regular sales business reviews, identify gaps and implement necessary business catch up to deliver expected results.
- Ensure meeting high forecast accuracy on a monthly basis.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine strategies.
- Oversee the sales budget and ensure effective resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and techniques.
- Perform HR related functions with regards to Recruitment and Selection, Onboarding and Training, Performance Management, Employee Engagement and motivation, Talent Development, Team Building and collaboration, Employee Retention, Compliance and Policy Adherence, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and HR collaboration.
Bachelor's (MBA preferred but not required), Engineering preferably Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
Experience:- With strong market/industry background in Product.
- Extensive experience in sales management with a track record of achieving targets.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Deep understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.
- High emotional intelligence and excellent people management skills.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on results.
- Proficiency in analyzing market data and making data-driven decisions.
- Resilience, positive outlook and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Game changer and must be able to adapt with high pressure working environment.
