The Software Engineer will work on Infor's financial product and be responsible for developing and supporting all but the most complex application programs using various programming languages, technologies, and development tools. This role involves a balance of 60% technical and 40% functional work, providing technical application guidance and support to various internal customers including but not limited to other application development teams, support engineers, and business consultants.
What You Will Need?
Required skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in Java/J2EE development or any OOP language
- Experience working within a large, cross-regional development organization
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Agile Development Methodology (Scrum and Kanban)
- Experience in Software Quality Assurance practices. Working knowledge in test automation scripting using Selenium, Ranorex, or similar tools
- Experience with defect tracking using JIRA or similar tools
- Good English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Amenable to report to office in BGC, Taguig, 3x per week
- Willing to work on in-house or proprietary language
Preferred Qualifications:
- ERP Software Development Life Cycle experience
- Financial background or similar
A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
- Translates design into code following company standards for product quality and maintainability
- Performs maintenance on existing products
- Obtains peer review of the code
- Provides analysis of current program functionality
- Performs code improvements to eliminate program errors while maintaining application functionality
- Recommends design alternatives to enhance the performance and functionality of application software
- Performs unit tests and works with Business and QA analysts to help perform regression and system tests
- Performs test automation scripting using proprietary tools for quality assurance
- Works with Business Analysts to document the final implementation of the design
- Understands basic customer business processes applicable to the application
- Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the assigned Infor application supported by their department
- Develops and maintains knowledge of tools used in the software development environment
- Develops and maintains knowledge of current software development technologies, computer systems, and industry trends
