About the role
The Payroll Processor is responsible for accurately and timely processing employee payroll, ensuring that salaries, deductions, benefits, overtime, leave, and other payroll-related adjustments are properly calculated and recorded. The position requires knowledge of both manual payroll processing and payroll software/system-based processing, as well as compliance with company policies and government-mandated requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Process employee payroll accurately and within the established payroll schedule
- Perform manual payroll calculations and verify payroll data before processing
- Process payroll using payroll software, HRIS, or computerized payroll systems
- Review and validate employee attendance, DTR, overtime, undertime, tardiness, leave, and other payroll-related records
- Calculate basic salary, overtime pay, holiday pay, night differential, allowances, bonuses, incentives, and other earnings
- Calculate and verify statutory deductions, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG, as applicable
- Process withholding tax and other authorized employee deductions
- Prepare payroll reports, payroll summaries, and supporting schedules for review and approval
- Reconcile payroll records and investigate discrepancies or variances
- Coordinate with HR, Accounting, and employees regarding payroll concerns and discrepancies
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 1–2 years of experience in payroll processing is preferred
- Knowledge of both manual payroll computation and computerized payroll processing
- Experience using payroll software, HRIS, Excel, or other payroll systems
- Good knowledge of Philippine payroll practices and statutory deductions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data reconciliation
- Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
