Job Description

  • Cybersecurity Strategy and Framework Development
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy tailored to the company's needs.
    • Establish cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to mitigate risks and safeguard assets.
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Infrastructure and System Security
    • Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
    • Deploy and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions for secure authentication and authorization.
    • Oversee the implementation of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and data loss prevention (DLP) tools.
  • Incident Response and Monitoring
    • Set up a security operations framework, including continuous monitoring and log management through SIEM tools.
    • Develop and test incident response plans to address and resolve cybersecurity threats.
    • Lead forensic investigations and root cause analysis following security incidents.
  • Compliance and Training
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
    • Conduct regular security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Stay informed of emerging cyber threats, technologies, and best practices.
    • Recommend and implement security enhancements to improve the company's overall cyber defense posture.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrable expertise in setting up defenses from scratch.
    • Experience working with organizations undergoing digital transformation is highly desirable.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
    • Preferred: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or GIAC certifications (e.g., GSEC, GCIA).

Key Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of network security, cloud security, IAM, and endpoint protection.
  • Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Expertise in threat intelligence, penetration testing, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
