BIAN Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIAN Architect with strong expertise in AWS-native development and Java to design, develop, and implement scalable, resilient, and modular banking applications aligned with BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) standards. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in modern enterprise architecture, microservices, and cloud technologies, with a strong foundation in banking or financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade banking solutions using BIAN service domains.

• Translate business capabilities into modular BIAN-aligned microservices.

• Design cloud-native solutions on AWS, including serverless architectures, containerization (ECS/EKS), and API gateways.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other architects to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, and best practices for BIAN and AWS-native development.

• Develop detailed architecture blueprints, solution designs, and integration patterns.

• Provide guidance on Java-based development best practices within a BIAN framework.

• Support the integration of BIAN service domains with existing systems and platforms.

• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and scalability requirements.

• Mentor technical teams on BIAN modeling, AWS cloud patterns, and microservices architecture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of software development and architecture experience, with a focus on Java and microservices.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with BIAN service modeling and architecture.

• Strong experience designing and deploying applications on AWS cloud.

• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Experience with API management tools and integration patterns.

• Understanding of financial services domain and core banking systems is a plus.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications (optional):

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification

• BIAN Foundation Certification
