External Savings Champion

Position Title: External Savings Champion (Area Manager Level)

Department: Savings Mobilization/Business Development

Reports To: AVP for Operations

Job Summary:

The Savings Champion is responsible for leading savings mobilization initiatives, strengthening client relationships, and promoting a strong savings culture. The role involves coaching and mentoring Branch Heads, Customer Savings Officers, and field staff on effective client engagement and cross-selling of bank products and services. It also includes extensive fieldwork to ensure the achievement of savings targets and supports overall financial inclusion efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

· Mobilize fresh savings accounts by actively promoting deposit products and building strong client relationships.

· Train and mentor Branch Heads and Customer Savings Officers on effective savings mobilization strategies and cross-selling techniques.

· Conduct regular fieldwork and strategic engagements across CALBARZON to expand the client base and enhance financial inclusion.

· Lead promotional efforts for savings products and related bank services in targeted areas.

· Initiate and participate in client engagement activities to attract new depositors and strengthen community ties.

· Identify opportunities for product bundling, upselling, and cross-selling to support customer financial growth.

· Monitor and evaluate branch savings performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.

· Develop performance improvement plans, when necessary, based on periodic savings data reviews.

· Serve as a role model and motivator to frontliners in fostering a strong savings culture.

· Provide feedback and recommendations to management for continuous improvement in savings mobilization strategies.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related fields

· At least three (3) years of relevant experience in banking, microfinance, or sales

· Strong leadership, training, and fieldwork capabilities

· Resides in or is familiar with the CALABARZON region
