This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of bank and payment service provider (PSP) transactions, posting journal entries, and supporting financial audits. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and assisting with ad hoc finance-related tasks to support the broader accounting function.

Your EDGE assignment/You will:

Bank and PSP reconciliations

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and Payment Service Provider (PSP) transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Liaise with internal teams and external financial institutions to address reconciliation issues.

Journal Entries and Month-End Processes

• Prepare and post daily financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, and intercompany entries.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all necessary journals are recorded accurately and on time.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.

Financial Audits and Compliance Support

• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for external auditors.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Support internal audits and regulatory reporting requirements as needed.

General Finance Support and Ad Hoc Tasks

• Provide assistance on various finance-related projects and process improvements.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial transactions and reconciliations.
• Support the finance team with administrative and reporting tasks as required.

Are you the one?

• Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
• Experience working with bank statements, PSPs, or transactional data in a fast-paced finance environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
