Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for a Senior Tax Advisor to join ASG Tax team operating under the Group's Finance department. The successful candidate will have a strong, confident personality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and show excellent attention to detail and accuracy. They will bring extensive experience as a senior tax advisor in the Philippines, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, providing strategic advice, and helping solve complex tax issues.

This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup, working in the EU time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance:

  1. Ensure compliance with PH local tax laws and regulations.
  2. Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  3. Initiate internal group tax audits on various topics (primarily in APAC and AU, NZ).

Tax Planning and Advisory:

  1. Research and provide tax advice to relevant teams on a variety of tax issues.
  2. Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to internal clients.
  3. Advise clients on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  4. Keep up to date with tax developments and implement the necessary changes across the group.
  5. Project based tax planning.

Internal Client Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  2. Act as a primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
  3. Provide exceptional client service and address client concerns promptly.

Team Dynamics:

  1. Manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services.

Technical Expertise:

  1. Stay updated with the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  2. Facilitate in-house tax training and development programs.
  3. Lead tax software and technology process development and enhancements.

Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Support financial reporting processes in relation to taxes.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of tax-related activities.
  3. Prepare and present tax reports to internal clients and management.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred but not required.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in tax practice or tax advisory roles.
  2. Experience with tax planning, compliance, audits, and representation before tax authorities.
  3. Knowledge in other general tax regulations in various countries.
  4. Navision skills would be beneficial.
