Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections of electrical installations, systems, and components, including wiring, lighting, transformers, and circuit breakers, to ensure compliance with electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety standards.
  • Verify the correct installation, functioning, and termination of electrical equipment and systems according to specifications and drawings.
  • Inspect electrical grounding, bonding, and overcurrent protection to ensure safety and proper operation.
  • Conduct tests such as continuity, insulation resistance, and voltage tests to verify the functionality and integrity of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues related to electrical installations.
  • Ensure all electrical systems are tested, verified, and certified in compliance with regulations and client specifications.
  • Monitor electrical safety practices and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations during inspections.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, including reports, test results, and corrective actions taken.
  • Conduct routine inspections and participate in periodic audits to ensure ongoing compliance with electrical codes and standards.
  • Provide training and support to site personnel on electrical safety and code compliance.
  • Report any significant electrical issues to senior management and recommend strategies to mitigate risks or improve performance.
  • Stay updated on changes in electrical codes, standards, and technologies to ensure inspection practices remain current.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Certification or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge in Quality System Standards, Oil & Gas Experience (Min 4 years)
  • Minimum of 04 years of experience in electrical inspection, including knowledge of electrical installation codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • In-depth understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, grounding, and overcurrent protection.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment (e.g., insulation resistance testers, multimeters, voltage testers).
  • Familiarity with electrical design and schematic drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Good problem-solving skills to identify faults and suggest corrective actions.
  • Ability to conduct thorough and accurate inspections, documenting all findings clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify electrical hazards or non-compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills to report findings and collaborate with engineers and contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to pass required medical and safety screenings.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
