Installation
- Install new air conditioning systems, including both indoor and outdoor units.
- Set up necessary components such as ductwork, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring.
Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning air filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting all components for wear and tear.
- Test air conditioning systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
Repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with malfunctioning air conditioning units.
- Replace defective parts such as compressors, fans, motors, thermostats, and refrigerant.
Certifications
- Certification in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) or related fields.
- EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certification for handling refrigerants (in the U.S.).
- Additional certifications may be required depending on location or specialization (e.g., HVAC Excellence or NATE - North American Technician Excellence).
Experience
- Proven experience in air conditioning system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Hands-on experience with different types of air conditioning systems (residential, commercial, industrial).
