Main Purpose of the Job

Carry out Project Management role for the construction of the project on behalf of the Senior Project Manager and Project Director.
Responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of a project.

Role Description:

  1. Ensure compliance with API, DM Department and ARCADIS policies and procedures
  2. Assist Senior PM and Project Director with the collection of payments from Client.
  3. Establish partnerships with the Clients team working together for the benefit of the Project.
  4. Attendance and Lead the team during Weekly Project Meetings
  5. Ensure all parties, including Contractor, work together as a team to provide a finished project, in a time frame acceptable to the Client, to the quality required by the Client, and to a budget acceptable to the Client.
  6. Ensure a clear organizational structure with good communication lines between all parties
  7. Oversee the execution of the project on a day-to-day basis including pre-construction, construction and post construction phases and act decisively should the project run into delay or any activity is being carried out in an unsafe manner.
  8. Compliance with the contents of the Development Management Practice Manual in the execution of the work
  9. Preparation and Maintain Project Construction Risk Profile
  10. Preparation, updating and maintaining of the Project Directory, Risk Register and Project Execution Plan during the term of the Project.
  11. Supervise, monitor and take clear, decisive and proactive action in conjunction with Senior Project Manager when required during the execution of the Works during construction and Post Construction Phases in accordance with the Contract between the Client and the Contractor.
  12. Review, comment and approve in behalf of the Senior Project Manager, Contractors construction program, monitor and report updates during execution of the Works
  13. Review, comment, monitor and report to Senior Project Manager/Project Director and/or Client -Contractors progress against program on a weekly / monthly basis including manpower, plant and materials.
  14. Monitor the furnishing and distribution of information to the appropriate parties in a timely manner taking into accounts the status of the program
  15. Preparation and updating of safety report on a weekly / monthly basis.
  16. Preparation and updating of a QA / QC report on a weekly / monthly basis.
  17. Establish, maintain and update with Senior Project Manager/Project Director, Clients, Consultants and third parties timing of Site visits and inspections as Engineers of Record during the execution of the Works that the Works are in compliance with the Contract Documents
  18. Review, comment, monitor and update testing and commissioning program
  19. Review, comment and ensure acceptance from Consultants and/or Operators on all testing and commissioning manuals, testing certificates and warranties in accordance with Contractors contract closeout deliverables.
  20. Preparation, monitoring and update schedule of Punchlist items.
  21. Assist Client project lead to organize and chair workshops and meetings with clear procedures to ensure they are conducted in a constructive and proactive manner, including preparation and prompt distribution of meeting minutes.
  22. Assist with recommendation of evaluation of Contractors progress and final payment applications
  23. Review, and update and monitor master plan and master program against actual progress particularly critical activities
  24. Preparation and issuance of Construction Close Out Report
  25. Checking drawings, review project work scope, drawings and requirements for compliance to engineering design, materials, procurement, fabrication and construction
  26. Liaising with Client and their representatives, consultants, contractors, suppliers, quantity surveyor and the general workforce involved in the project
  27. Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on the site, and ensuring that regulations are adhered to:
  28. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise
  29. Identify risks and issues, suggest alternatives that lead to the best solution
  30. Reviews and manage contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.

Qualifications & Experience :

  1. Graduate of any of the following courses: Architecture/ Civil Engineering. Must a PRC License holder or Certified by reputable Organization globally.
  2. At least 5 years of work experience in managing Renovation, Fit-out Projects, Construction Projects with MEPFS Scope.
  3. Preferably with experience in Construction in any of the following field: Institutional, Project Development, office fit-out, Hotel, Hospitality projects and Project Development.
  4. Has full knowledge of (5) stages of Project Management process and procedures with demonstrated experience in managing sites, site coordination and client presentation.
  5. Can do basic Cost Estimates and Cost Monitoring
  6. Can do Project Monitoring and Risks Mitigation
  7. Knowledgeable in Quality Assurances in respect to Project Documentations
  8. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  9. Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  10. Can report project updates and progress, as well as risks and issues during the meeting.
  11. Proficiency in programming and planning software (e.g., MS project, Autocad, Microsoft Office) required. Power BI, Primavera and BIM360 knowledge is an advantage but not required.
  12. Health and Safety Background is an advantage
