General Ledger Accountant Lead- Australia

As a General Ledger Accountant Lead with Insight, you will hold a position responsible for managing monthly /quarterly/annual accounting close, P&L reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, assisting in the preparation and review of tax and statutory accounts, monthly sales report review and adjustments, US GAAP and IFRS knowledge and reporting, internal and external audits, and cash flow management. Along the way, you will take on additional work as may be required and serve as a backup for other finance tasks.

As General Ledger Accountant Lead, you will get to:

  • Manage month-end responsibilities and various other month-end/quarter-end activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of month-end/quarter-end in accordance with US GAAP/SOX requirements.
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting for APAC entities, including accuracy of P&L, balance sheet preparation and review, journal postings, assisting in the preparation and filing of statutory accounts, tax returns, GST returns, and other regulatory obligations, while dealing with external lawyers for local filings and external accountants and tax agents.
  • Review and process T&E accruals, monthly intercompany reconciliations, auditing vendor bank account changes, and posting various monthly journals for APAC entities.

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant Lead with:

  • CPA/CA equivalent qualification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in general ledger accounting in an SAP environment.
  • SAP experience is required.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written).
