The Quantity Surveyor is primarily tasked to quantify and estimate corresponding cost for all materials and labor and associated appurtenances needed in all project proposals based on prevalent construction cost. Shall ensure that all materials specifications are compliant to SLMC standard. Shall evaluate the technical aspect of the project and provide initial comparison and analysis of financial aspects of proposed bids and quotations. Shall also assist in monitoring project compliance to the requirements of the project. Ensures implementation and maintenance of safety programs.

Job Description:
  • Maintaining the needed documents properly throughout the project execution until the project closes out (From PR to Completion and Billing).
  • Prepares, submits, and reports weekly, monthly accomplishment and project status progress report required documents/reports and gives feedback, critical information, and updates as necessary and as required by the Immediate Superior.
  • Produces Budgetary Estimates, Quantify Take-off, Technical Specifications, scope of Work, project schedule/Timetable and Bill of Quantities for all PES projects based on approved final plans and drawings.
  • Assess projects through accurate cost estimation and quantity surveying methods.
  • Executes quality surveying for all projects being executed by the section and other activities assigned.
  • Audits and monitors project implementation, activities or other works based on the operational plan and approved schedule, and in compliance and conformance to the hospital's policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Attend and/or preside pre-bid meetings, pre-construction meetings and major coordination meetings to discuss and/or verify clarifications and concerns of contractors, other design engineers and/or end-users.
  • Budgets, schedules, and implements projects and other works based on the directives of the Immediate Superior.
  • Maintains all project files/documentation reference used while estimating the assigned projects, including the compilation of all estimates' cost breakdown and summary.
  • Maintains and safekeeps all records of performances on facility monitoring, evaluation, and recommendation documentation, including complete project documentation records, from conceptualization to completion.
  • Ensure proper safekeeping and documentation of inventory of furniture and fixtures and all issued tools and equipment required in the course of the performance of the associate's job.
  • Maintains a collection of technical books for fast reference on technical issues that require speedy resolution, both on estimates and technical issues.
  • Ensures proper documentation of records, reports and statistics for planning and decision-making purposes and budget.
  • May manage, supervise, and monitor minor projects or other assigned tasks by Immediate Superior.
  • Identifies professional development and educational needs of the Associate subject for approval of the Immediate Supervisor/s and/or Executives.
  • Undertaking minor/major project tasks as required and necessary and as instructed by the Immediate Superior.
Job Requirements:
  • Graduate of B.S in Civil, Architecture or Allied Course.
  • Minimum three (3) years work experience in hospital facilities maintenance and/or engineering, building maintenance and/or major construction with at least manpower and vendor handling experience and with experience in QA/QC.
  • Preferably AutoCAD proficient and knowledgeable in 3D presentation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • With administrative skills.
  • Certification or license related to function is an advantage.
  • Willing to work onsite.
  • Willing to work in BGC, Taguig.
