Job Overview

This role is responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading tax audits and investigations. As a key finance leader, you will collaborate across teams to drive strategic tax planning, risk mitigation, and process improvement initiatives, directly impacting business growth and operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy & Compliance

  • Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize financial performance while ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes to mitigate risks and maintain strict adherence to legal requirements.
  • Provide expert tax advisory support to business leaders, influencing key financial and operational decisions.

Audit & Risk Management

  • Lead and manage tax audits and investigations, successfully resolving any issues and implementing risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and enhance internal tax controls and compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax authorities, and legal advisors to ensure smooth audit processes.

Collaboration & Business Partnering

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, partners, and finance teams to develop tax-efficient solutions and reporting strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, mentoring and guiding finance and tax professionals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tax systems, automation, and reporting capabilities.

What our Client is Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 8+ years of proven experience in tax management, preferably within the consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
  • Strong expertise in tax compliance, audits, and regulatory risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tax software, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial reporting tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
