About the role
The CCTV Installer is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems and related security equipment. The position ensures that all CCTV installations are properly installed, functional, secure, and compliant with project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Install CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, monitors, cables, power supplies, and related equipment.
- Perform CCTV cabling, termination, testing, labeling, and cable management.
- Configure IP cameras, DVR/NVR, network settings, and remote viewing applications.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of CCTV systems before project turnover.
- Troubleshoot camera, cabling, power, network, recording, and connectivity issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of existing CCTV systems.
- Read and follow CCTV layouts, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and project specifications.
- Ensure proper camera positioning, viewing angles, and coverage based on approved plans.
- Coordinate with the Technical Lead, Project Manager, clients, and other project personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the worksite during installation activities.
About you
- Graduate of IT, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical, or a related technical course; vocational/technical graduates may also be considered.
- Experience in CCTV installation, structured cabling, networking, or security systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of IP cameras, DVR/NVR, LAN networking, and basic troubleshooting.
- Willing to work on-site and travel to different project locations.
- Physically capable of performing installation work, including climbing ladders and working in elevated areas when required.
- Able to use basic hand tools and testing equipment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
