Job Description:

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and working closely with finance and analytics teams to develop strategies that drive growth. Responsible for achieving agreed targets by acquiring new accounts and enhancing business relationships with existing clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Sources and accredits new clients and reports account acquisition status to Immediate Head.
  2. Presents and promotes MyHealth's products and services and prepares proposals based on client's requirements in a timely manner.
  3. Performs upselling activities and initiates relationship building amongst current accounts.
  4. Monitors the patients coming from signed accounts and ensures that the clinic is utilized by the signed account.
  5. Ensures timely preparation and renewal of contracts.
  6. Performs pricing and package negotiations. Escalates all concerns beyond the authority limit to Immediate Head.
  7. Conducts regular follow-through and resolves client's issues and concerns.
  8. Participates in different Marketing activities (e.g. wellness activities) and interacts with existing clients to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  9. Conceptualizes and formulates Sales strategies and implements client retention initiatives.
  10. Supports Immediate Head by recommending improvements to address customer service-related issues and concerns.
  11. Provides regular assistance to different MyHealth departments and clinics including collection activities, liaising tasks, etc.
  12. Participates in capacity building activities on safety and health and other OSH-related topics and programs.
  13. Proper use of all safeguards and safety devices furnished for workers' protection and that of others.
  14. Comply with instructions to prevent accidents or imminent danger situations in the workplace.
  15. Observe prescribed steps to be taken in cases of emergency including participation in the conduct of national or local disaster drills.
  16. Report to their immediate supervisor or any other responsible safety and health personnel any work hazard that may be discovered in the workplace.
  17. Accomplishes departmental goals by performing other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  18. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

  • New Business Development and Analytical Skills
  • Finance and Communication skills
  • Customer Service expertise
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is an advantage
  • At least 3 years' work experience in the same capacity, preferably gained from the same industry.
