Job Description:

  1. Plans and directs plant operations. Leads a talented and diverse office based team and directs the production staff to achieve a satisfactory workflow.

  2. Oversees a company's production operations and ensures that materials and supplies are in a positive flow.

  3. Directly supervises workers with Team Leaders in their manufacturing area and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to shape and assemble products.

  4. Inspects and measures assembled products to verify conformance to company standards and any special instructions from customers through the Job Order.

  5. Directs workers in inspection and quarantine of products that fail to meet standards. Ensures the accomplishment of the daily Accomplishment Reporting (DAR) as well as the In-process and Final Inspection reporting (IPIF and FIF).

  6. Maintains time and production records and enters scrap tag attributes in the computer system.

  7. Sets up facilities, fixtures, and coordinates repairs with Engineering for any unit that needs repair. Ensures that machines are functional and the production facilities adhere to safety standards.

  8. Works with the Production Manager and Production Scheduler to keep up to date with current scheduled jobs running or in process based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

  9. Focuses on driving health, safety, quality, and productivity. Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; suggests discipline for employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

  10. Maintains good housekeeping in their own work area and enforces good housekeeping in the department they supervise. Develops, implements, and enforces operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.

  11. Accounts for all resources provided such as materials and supplies through the FPO (Firmed Production Order), FSRF (Material Request), and IHR (In-house request).

  12. Provides leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of employee achievement and retention in accordance with our Company Rules and Regulations (CRR), Compound Guidelines (CG), Process Manuals (PM), Work Instructions (WI), and SOPs (Do's and Don'ts).

  13. Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  14. Actively participates in Product and Process audits that will result in the Department's compliance with all set standards.

  15. Identifies areas for improvement and organizes training opportunities for their team.

  16. Recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

  17. Handles related jobs that may be assigned by superiors.

Qualifications:

  1. Has an analytical mind with strong attention to detail.

  2. Has outstanding organizational and planning skills.

  3. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  4. Has a BS degree in Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.

  5. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Production Supervisor/ Shop Production Supervisor.

  6. Must be able to interpret and incorporate data to help maintain process capability at the machine.

  7. Must have adequate knowledge of the most common Product and Quality Specifications.

  8. Must be able to read and interpret most job order requirements from customers.

  9. Must have basic computing skills to prepare reports.
