Homeschool Tutor

About the role

We are looking for a responsible, patient, and engaging private tutor to support two children enrolled in an established homeschooling program. The children already have a structured homeschool curriculum, so this role is not about creating lessons from scratch. The tutor will serve as their learning facilitator—guiding them through their daily work, supervising their studies, assessing their progress, and ensuring that they stay on track with the prescribed curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the children through their homeschool curriculum

• Ensure lessons and assigned work are completed according to schedule

• Explain concepts and provide additional support when needed

• Check and assess assignments and activities

• Monitor and document learning progress

• Identify areas where the children may need additional practice or support

• Encourage good study habits, independence, focus, and responsibility

• Coordinate with the parents regarding progress, challenges, and areas for improvement

• Follow the homeschool program's curriculum and requirements

About you

• Preferably a licensed teacher / education graduate, but experienced tutors with strong teaching backgrounds are welcome to apply

• Experience teaching Grade 3 and/or Pre-Kinder students

• Patient, warm, and comfortable working with young children

• Organized and able to follow an established curriculum

• Proactive in assessing whether the children are understanding their lessons

• Reliable and committed to a consistent schedule

• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
