The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Network System Engineer to manage our network of electric vehicle chargers. The Network System Engineer will commission support of chargers to the InControl network management system, troubleshoot charging assets, and proactively create service requests to the operations team if necessary. The candidate will take on the primary task of managing all cases in Salesforce on charging issues for InCharge and its customers. This includes working closely with the Operations, Product Management, and Salesforce teams. This person will report to the IT Manager.

What You'll Do

  1. Assisting the customer support team on Salesforce cases with a pre-analysis and if necessary, ticket routing.
  2. Build best practices and training materials for the use of InControl and chargers.
  3. Troubleshoot local network functionality, identifying root causes.
  4. Analyze InControl software issues, suggesting possible resolutions, and escalation via Salesforce and JIRA.
  5. Verify the updates to known issues, testing the solutions before implementation.
  6. Proactive case creation via software fault detection.
  7. Troubleshooting issues with no known solution, and developing new processes if necessary.
  8. Review work log and customer feedback periodically with team and other analysts and technicians to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
  9. Review and respond accordingly to key customer and internal escalation requests.
  10. Provide technical feedback to the internal engineering and manufacturing team.
  11. Disseminate product updates and changes to CS teams, providing documentation and resource expectations.
  12. Provide status updates to the Technology, Operations, and Product Management Team.
  13. Navigate multiple Portals and device networks, looking for trends and data integrity.
  14. On-call scheduling for our Field Service Technicians and Strategic Customers.

Your Experience and Capabilities

  1. 1+ years of networking and JIRA/Confluence experience preferred.
  2. Experience in the EV Charging industry is a plus.
  3. 2+ years of experience in a helpdesk environment (preferred).
  4. Self-starter, can project manage and prioritize critical tasks and expected workload.
  5. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to communicate across multiple technical levels.
  7. Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  8. Detailed follow-through, every time, every client.
  9. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
