- Graduate of BS Accountancy.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- With at least 8 to 10 years related work experience in handling Finance, HR or IT functions in a managerial capacity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing compliance with all governing bodies, providing insights and advice in all aspects of planning, budgeting, and financial control.
- Reviews and ensures correctness and adequacy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports before submission to management, the external auditor, the Insurance Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Reviews and approves various tax returns such as Income Tax Return, Value Added Tax, and Withholding Tax as required by the BIR.
- Reviews the General Information Sheet and General Resolution for submission to the Legal Department.
- Coordinates and discusses with external auditors, BIR, and Insurance Commission examiners during audits/examinations.
- Determines the amount of excess funds in coordination with the underwriting, servicing, and claims department for the timing of settlements.
- Provides recommendations on the placement of funds with the objective of obtaining the best yields without incurring undue risk.
- Keeps abreast of the latest accounting standards and circulars applicable to insurance companies.
- Approves and signs the Cheque Voucher and Payment Request Form for processing of payment/disbursement.
- Monitors and approves HR and payroll-related reports and initiatives, including hiring, review of benefits, and manpower development.
- Supervises Finance Analyst/Associate, Compliance Associate, HR Assistant, and IT Assistant.
- Reports to the General Manager.
