Job DescriptionDescription

Primarily responsible for carrying out various accounting duties and responsibilities such as handling accounts receivables, accounts payables, and general accounting tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Acts as Petty Cash Custodian
    1. Handles Daily Disbursement of Cash from Petty Cash Fund for day-to-day operations.
    2. Receives and checks liquidation of Petty Cash Advances.
    3. Timely prepares and posts Petty Cash Replenishment Summary.
    4. Ensures weekly submission of Petty Cash Audit Form.
  2. Accounts Receivables
    1. Receives and checks Request for Release of Units.
    2. Timely prepares Sales Invoice for Units & Parts Sales.
    3. Thoroughly reviews & closely monitors Aging Receivables on a regular basis.
    4. Receives payment and issues receipt for collections (Unit Reservations, Downpayment, Proceeds).
    5. Confirms & schedules Collections from Banks and Customers.
    6. Ensures timely submission of Weekly Accounts Receivable Report.
    7. Ensures timely preparation of Statement of Account.
    8. Ensures timely preparation of Monthly Sales & Collection Report.
    9. Ensures thorough checking & reconciliation of Customer Balances.
  3. Accounts Payable
    1. Receives and timely processes Requests for Payment for Suppliers and Employee Advances.
    2. Ensures timely posting of Payables to Accounting System.
    3. Closely coordinates with Accounting Head Office for Disbursement Voucher preparation.
    4. Ensures timely preparation of Monthly Purchases Report.
    5. Handles checking & Reconciliation of Suppliers Balances.
  4. General Accounting Tasks
    1. Timely prepares Monthly Commission Computation & Summary.
    2. Ensures timely posting of Monthly Commission Payables.
    3. Ensures thorough checking & reconciliation of GL Account Balances.
    4. Ensures timely posting of adjusting entries as may be needed.
    5. Ensures timely submission of Monthly Reports.
    6. Attends to regular & scheduled meetings.
    7. Ensures intact filing of Accounting Documents.
    8. Attends to other instructions & tasks that may be assigned by the Dealerships' General Manager & Accounting Manager as may be required & necessary.
  5. Performs other tasks assigned by the Dealerships' General Manager & Accounting Manager.
Requirements
  • Graduate of Accounting or any business-related course.
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience in Accounting.
  • Familiarity with Accounting software (PeachTree, etc.).
  • Can work independently.
