Purpose of the position:
Provides technical support and maintains the company's IT infrastructure — including hardware, software, networks, and systems — to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations at RAM Head Office and all RAM Branches. The role serves as the first line of support for end users and assists the IT Manager in implementing IT projects, policies, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users for hardware, software, network, and account issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on computers, printers, servers, and network equipment, at Head Office and all branches, and keep maintenance logs up to date.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls) to ensure uptime and performance.
- Administer user accounts, access rights, email, and Microsoft 365/Active Directory services.
- Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches; support data recovery when needed.
- Implement and enforce IT security measures, including antivirus, access controls, and data protection policies.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, licenses, and documentation.
- Conduct periodic IT asset audits at Head Office and branches — verifying equipment, serial numbers, assigned users, condition, and software licenses against the inventory — and report discrepancies to the IT Manager.
- Log, track, and resolve support tickets within agreed service levels.
- Visit RAM Branches as scheduled or when needed for on-site support, installations, and maintenance, and provide remote support to branch staff.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers on repairs, procurement, and service issues.
- Assist the IT Manager in IT projects, system upgrades, and new technology rollouts.
- Train and orient employees on the proper use of systems and IT policies.
Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years' experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications.
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and basic cybersecurity practices.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+, CCNA, Microsoft) are an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information with integrity.
- Willing to travel to RAM Branches and to work extended hours or on call when required.
