Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, monitoring food and inventory costs, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations. They help management control expenses, improve profitability, and manage cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Control and Food Cost Analysis
- Monitor food and beverage costs
- Analyze wastage, spoilage, and shrinkage
- Compare actual food costs with standard costs
- Conduct inventory reconciliation
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Track sales, expenses, and profit margins
- Provide management reports for decision-making
- Process supplier invoices for ingredients and supplies
- Monitor payments from distributors or customer
- Prepare financial budgets for operations
- Forecast demand and purchasing needs
- Monitor operational expenses
- Manage payroll for kitchen staff, service staff, and other employees
- Calculate overtime, tips, and service charges
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Prepare tax filings
- Maintain documentation for audits
- Track daily sales reports from POS systems
- Verify cash, card, and digital payments
- Reconcile sales with deposits
