This role involves managing financial records, delivering excellent customer service, and handling payroll processes for clients. The position requires accuracy, confidentiality, and proactive communication to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain up-to-date and accurate monthly accounts using customer-required software. Enter and file debtor's documentation. Enter and file creditor's documentation. Perform bank account reconciliations. Conduct complete credit control and maintain a register of customer contact. Process end-of-week and end-of-month tasks including IRD reporting. Prepare EOFY documentation to Trial Balance. Respond to customer or customer's client queries as needed. Set up software and processes for new customers. Customer Service Build and maintain client relationships based on trust and professionalism. Make recommendations to add value to clients' businesses. Maintain relationships with suppliers. Payroll Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data to meet deadlines. Run weekly, fortnightly, or monthly payrolls using relevant software and load payments to customer bank accounts. Prepare reports for customer reporting (e.g., taxes, deductions, leave, KiwiSaver). Resolve payroll queries from customers or their staff. Ensure confidentiality of customer and employee records. Meet IRD reporting timeframes and provide timely payment advice. Set up software and processes for new customers. General Train and mentor staff and graduates of the organisation. Promote service excellence and foster effective teamwork and business relationships. Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and associates. Contribute to process improvements and ongoing upskilling. Ensure accounting functions comply with established standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain accurate and accessible filing systems. Keep an up-to-date record of tasks, prioritizing and allocating time effectively. Perform other duties as required. About You. Qualifications and Skills: At least 3-4 years of experience in Local PH or Global bookkeeping including accounts management, bank reconciliations, and credit control. Strong payroll administration skills with knowledge of relevant software and compliance requirements. Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities to maintain trust and professionalism. Proficiency in accounting and payroll software and ability to set up systems for new clients. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., IRD reporting, EOFY processes). High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting. Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client and employee records. Effective communication skills for proactive client engagement and query resolution. Team leadership and mentoring experience to train staff and promote service excellence. What's in it for you?
