Job Overview

Your new job The COO Finance department delivers Finance related services to its stakeholders, i.e. Group Finance, CFO’s of countries and Wholesale Banking, Risk, Tax and Bank Treasury. These services encompass operations and change initiatives for accounting, reporting, utilities, data foundation and business advice services, including system, process, data and information management and analytics capabilities. The services are by design reliable, secure and in control. Change is delivered in accordance with the Finance strategy and implementation and decommissioning roadmap. We are looking for a Business Analyst for the Tribe Statutory and Regulatory Reporting. This Tribe delivers on time, transparent and standardized solutions according to the standards of the external local and central regulators and auditors meeting our minimum control requirements. The Business Analyst reports to the Product Lead.

As BA you work in a squad with around 8 colleagues from different areas of expertise. Together you work on a common purpose. You like to work together in a constructive way in a multidisciplinary squad. Together with your squad members you do everything within your power to realize your common mission day by day.

• You analyze complex Finance business issues which exceed Squads and/or Tribe, for the purpose of bringing complete solutions for the requested change.
• You deliver excellent substantiated analysis using the latest state of the art techniques and tools which lead to functional designs that cover all change deliverables.
• You are focused on process design and the translation to IT. You take care of the coordination of the content between specialists from the different domains.
• You ensure that all requirements of all relevant stakeholders are acknowledged in the analyses and the different solution designs.
• You support Tribes and squads to take decisions by presenting the different (functional and solution) design alternatives and their impact in a clear way.
• You guarantee that the business requirements and non-functional requirements are translated to the IT Solution requirements.
• You co-operate with (IT)-architects and –specialists to arrive at a suitable IT solution.
• You make a number of coherent analyses:
• Requirements analysis: elicit coherent requirements, ensure quality and maintain alignment with design, translate to backlog features and user stories.
• Process analysis: analyze current situations, problems and causes; provide clear process designs.
• Information analysis: analyze inputs/outputs/data adjustments; assess data quality and improvements.
• Risk analysis: translate ORM, Compliance and Legal policies to design solutions.
• You explain and present solutions to stakeholders, provide design alternatives and their impact for decision making.
• Results of the analysis are captured in the chosen standards (BABOK).
• Your analyses are supported by BA products (domain models, data models, impact analysis, feasibility studies, etc.).
• You substantiate choices with alternatives, feasibility studies, impact analyses, decision sheets and business cases.
• You support delivery of solutions with an iterative and incremental agile approach, refining the roadmap and enabling partial deliveries (releases, MVPs) and adjusting requirements and designs based on feedback.
• You support verification and validation of solutions by defining acceptance criteria, scenarios and use cases.
• You help translate solution design into training materials and work instructions for employees.
• You introduce knowledge of best practices and contribute to reuse of solutions.
• You ensure lessons learned and best practices are available to everyone and contribute to ongoing knowledge development.

• Energetic and driven expert with strong analytical capabilities using state of the art methods for business analysis to implement reporting solutions for ESG reporting.
• Integral, cross-domain knowledge of Finance. Excellent communicator who can build bridges between stakeholders and gain broad agreement on the path forward.
• Ability to deliver standardized, uniform and fully adapted solutions for complex Finance issues and processes.
• Education, experience and background: At minimum HBO/WO level; Bachelor/Master in (business) administration or comparable; knowledge and experience with Business Analysis; cross-domain knowledge; strong communication skills in Dutch and English; practical experience with Agile and Lean; knowledge in business and IT in areas such as process management and financial services; exportable to the role.
