Salary Range: Commensurate with experience - Graduate $86,660 FTE Gross per annum to Experienced Proficient Teacher $126,795 FTE Gross per annum + 12.75% super

About the Role

The Teacher works with and supports young people, their families, and college staff in assisting young people to develop their skills for taking the next steps in their lives. The position requires a strong commitment to serving marginalised and disengaged young people who may have a range of personal and social issues, including social-emotional, cognitive, sensory or physical disability. Many of the young people are affected by complex trauma. Teachers are expected to manage positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school objectives and planning
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment
Work Requirements
  • Be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
  • Current Queensland drivers licence at LR or above, or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
