Mid Manual QA tester

Job Description I. Job Summary The role is responsible for analyzing and understanding business requirement specifications and translating them into functional specifications and test cases. It involves evaluating and testing new or modified software programs and development procedures to verify that they function according to user requirements and conform to established quality standards. The position ensures that system releases meet the agreed functional and technical requirements, supported by a Test Summary Report and/or Acceptance Test Certificate . The role also collaborates with the Senior Quality Analyst in applying knowledge and experience to various testing activities, demonstrating functional expertise in quality assurance processes and methodologies. II. Job Responsibilities 1. QA Process Knowledge Understand and comply with the organization’s defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CMMI standards. Demonstrate understanding of testing approaches such as System , Integration , and Regression testing. Apply appropriate test design techniques when writing test cases. Create test plans and provide test effort estimations for small to medium-sized projects. Review Test Cases and Test Scripts prepared by the Manual Quality Analyst I , providing feedback and recommendations as necessary. Develop Test Cases , Test Scripts , Test Data , and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) . Execute assigned test cases accurately, verify expected system behavior, identify defects, and report them with detailed replication steps. Test and certify defect fixes and new functionalities , performing functional , application , and regression tests for software releases. Prepare clear and detailed defect reports for identified software or functional issues. Submit comprehensive Test Summary Reports and/or Acceptance Test Certificates to document test results. Collaborate with the Senior Manual Quality Analyst during peer reviews of RTMs, test cases, and test summary reports. Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations. Enforce adherence to quality procedures and guidelines across the Software Development Life Cycle . Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA standards, procedures, and methodologies. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering clear testing documentation and high-quality products aligned with specified requirements. Demonstrate a solid understanding of business needs and provide sound, data-driven suggestions and recommendations. Qualifications The candidate must have: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering , Management Engineering , Computer Science , Computer Engineering , Information Technology , or a related field . 3–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or software testing . At least 3–4 years of hands‑on Manual QA experience (Must Have). A minimum of 2 years of experience in API testing and basic automation (Must Have). Proven proficiency in writing comprehensive test cases and test scripts . Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining a Master Test Plan . In-depth understanding of Test Design Techniques , QA methodologies , and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) under both Waterfall and Agile environments. Strong working knowledge of QA testing tools , industry standards , and quality processes . Exposure to business operations related to manufacturing , distribution , or financial systems is an advantage. Experience working in various system development environments . Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills , with solid communication competence . Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities. A strong sense of commitment to organizational goals, values, and quality standards. Flexibility to work on shifting schedules and extended hours when required.
