As an international company, we are looking for a Solar & BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) Design Engineer based in Makati City, Manila Philippines.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as PV/BESS Design Engineer (or similar)
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proven capability in digital engineering and modelling tools (such as PowerCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst, PVcase and Helioscope)
• Efficient time management and track record of accomplishing project deadlines.
• Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Provide technical electrical expertise in relation to Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems designs that meet INTEC’s requirements and support a quality experience for clients.
• Development of designs required for Solar PV and Battery Storage systems to comply with relevant industry and WHS standards, ensuring designs meet deadlines required for project plans.
• Assist the Project Delivery Team to resolve technical issues encountered during installation and adjust designs and drawings accordingly, communicating with Project Managers, installers and clients as required.
• Design Solar Distribution boards compliant with Australian standards.
• Commissioning of solar inverters and testing secondary network grid relay protection devices.
• Analyse and design commercial PV solar and battery systems.
• Scoping works and providing quotes and proposals in conjunction with Business Development Managers.
• Liaise with installation teams and assist with overall management of commercial solar projects.
• Attend site inspections and assist with installation pricing and creating bill of quantities.
• Generate and submit network applications for commercial solar PV projects.
• Consult with sales and development teams and be actively involved in tender design with project managers as works go from concept through to commissioning.
• Assist with preparation of tender documents for commercial solar PV projects.
• Prepare System schematics and PV layouts including equipment design for DC and AC side.
• Coach/guide junior Engineers in best practice design processes, relevant industry standards, and company work practices and values.

• May be required to support the broader team as appropriate and based on the individual’s capability.

• Model the expected Health, Safety and Environment behaviours for INTEC Energy Solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation at all times for self and your team.
• Proactively identify and eliminate hazards and contribute to the work environment to ensure safety measures are in place, compliant and operational.
• Keep yourself safe and follow all processes in the INTEC Energy Solutions H&S system, providing feedback on any improvements that can be made.
• Strong focus on identifying and suggesting ways to improve practices and processes that are hampering the smooth operation of the day to day running of the project.
• Support the development of innovative strategies to ensure operational efficiencies, processes and practices.
• Proactively seek opportunities to save unnecessary costs to the project (without compromising quality).
