Integrated Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an Integrated Maintenance Engineer to support and oversee the operational quality, stability, and efficiency of telecommunications, all sites and data center infrastructure across the SLZ Region. This role involves multi-domain network operations and maintenance (O&M) covering IDC facilities, base stations, transmission systems, wireless equipment, fiber optic cables, electrical/mechanical systems, and CCTV—while ensuring KPI compliance and network service assurance. The position requires strong leadership in troubleshooting, optimization activities, vendor coordination, and emergency support during critical events. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and coordination skills, able to handle complex technical issues, manage multiple work streams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in construction, commercial, and enterprise domains. Other comprehensive administrative and support tasks may be assigned as needed.

• Resides in or near Lipa City
• Holds a valid driver’s license or can obtain one within a reasonable timeframe
• Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics), Information Technology, or other related technical fields
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong documentation and reporting skills
• Strong communication and learning abilities in both English and Tagalog

• Network & Facility Operations
  • Oversee SLZ-wide optimization activities, ensuring KPIs for Wireless, IDC, and OSP are met or exceeded.
  • Manage and monitor IDC operations, including troubleshooting critical facility failures, addressing environmental system faults, and maintaining long-term fault tracking ledgers with regular updates.
  • Supervise work orders for base stations, equipment rooms, and transmission systems; coordinate with domain teams for timely and standardized closure of tickets, with follow-up on overdue/high-frequency cases.
  • Support OTN/IPRAN cutovers, repairs on backbone and submarine cable links, and spare parts follow-up.
  • Lead onsite quality inspections biweekly to assess maintenance standards and provide actionable feedback.
• Optimization & Technical Support
  • Monitor vendor optimization activities, approve proposals, and direct network improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with the construction team for long-term solutions, including microcells, IBS expansion, and new site proposals.
  • Handle VVIP complaints requiring advanced analysis and resolution.
  • Review and optimize assigned clusters, including special projects like Beauty Grid and Breakthrough.
  • Provide technical solutions for issues across the SLZ region.
• Asset, Utility & Resource Management
  • Manage operational assets assigned to the optimization team.
  • Oversee COW (Cell-on-Wheels) deployment, activities, and maintenance.
  • Approve PAC in the system and handle OSVT work orders for labeling consistency.
  • Manage electricity payment tracking, prevent service disconnections, and review high-bill anomalies.
  • Ensure accurate network asset records across OSS/EMS, GIS, and other systems.
• Emergency & Service Assurance
  • Act as lead coordinator for emergency telecom support during disasters and major events.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure incident readiness.
  • Support enterprise clients by reviewing O&M evaluations and addressing complaints from POI to network.
  • Coordinate with commercial teams on special events, project sites, and enterprise coverage checks.
• Coordination
  • Work closely with the Regional Senior Advisor to ensure smooth collaboration, effective communication, and alignment on operational and strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate and supervise the SAM team in resolving right-of-way permit issues and dispute handling during operations and maintenance and maintain regular communication and good relations with local government agencies and partners.
• Reporting & Administration
  • Prepare monthly SLZ-wide reports for optimization meetings and regional updates.
  • Maintain documentation for KPI performance, work orders, inspections, and optimization results.
  • Assist in personnel recruitment, utility bill review, and other administrative backup tasks.
• Employment Standards
  • Responsible for ensuring the stability, safety, and efficiency of regional data center operations
  • Provide technical support in resolving power, cooling, fire safety, and other critical facility issues
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive emergency response procedures, and conduct regular emergency preparedness exercises
  • Lead safety and technical skill training to improve team performance and safety compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency, facility optimization, and cost reduction
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and operational best practices
• Job Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years' relevant work experience in telecommunications operations or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics), Information Technology, or related technical fields.
  • Residing in or near Lipa City; willing to work full-time on-site.
  • Valid driver’s license (or able to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Python for data logging, automation, and analysis is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Tagalog.
  • Relevant experience in telecommunications network O&M, data center operations, or infrastructure maintenance is preferred.
  • Good character, reliability, and professional work ethics.
