Senior Accountant at Payox Solutions Inc

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, processing transactions, ensuring compliance with Philippine tax regulations and regulatory/government requirements, and assisting in month-end close processes. This role will work closely with the Financial Controller to maintain accurate financial records, support external audits, and ensure timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions, including cash advances, employee reimbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and Philippine taxation laws (VAT, withholding tax, income tax filings).
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Support external audits by preparing documentation and coordinating with auditors.
  • Assist in implementing SOPs for financial processes to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification is a plus but not required.
  • 3-5 years of total experience in accounting, including:
  • 1-2 years in public accounting (audit or tax).
  • 2-3 years in corporate accounting, with experience in compliance, month-end close, and transaction processing.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and Philippine taxation (BIR, VAT, withholding tax).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
