Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for die design, development, and processes to support new product development.
- Provide technical advice to product design through stamping engineering evaluation; conduct evaluations for DFM.
- Work with process development engineers to complete new tooling conditioning and mass production.
- Prepare WI and PFMEA for new products; discuss with QE (Quality Engineers) and Production to finalize them.
- Update WI and PFMEA according to customer audit requests, quality improvements, or EC.
- Train operations staff on WI to standardize machine operation and processes.
- Responsible for manufacturing process improvements, production efficiency, and quality enhancements.
- Modify tooling based on customer requests, quality improvements, EC, or efficiency needs.
- Complete and publish revised tooling drawings to meet EC and improvement requests.
- Collaborate with QE and Production to revise related documents (WI & PFMEA) for customer audits.
- Work with QE and Production to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for customer complaints.
- Research or introduce new technologies to improve yield and efficiency in processes.
- Design, execute EC, and fabricate single and progressive dies.
- Handle repair and maintenance of dies.
- Conduct trial runs, adjustments, and evaluations of dies.
- Operate machining and press machines.
- Participate in DFM, EC, and quality meetings with customers.
- Design and fabricate jigs.
- Implement process improvements.
- Check new part documentation.
- Supervise operators, designers, technicians, and engineers.
- Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Creo for design tasks.
- Prepare and check die quotations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering design-related roles.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, and experience with progressive dies.
- Knowledge of quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and APQP.

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
