Chief Accountant

Manages and directs the functions of the Financial Accounting Division – General Accounting, Budget & Cost & Payables. Reviews and recommends approval of the objectives, strategies, and action programs of the Financial Accounting Division. Supervises accounts payable, general ledger, and other finance, payroll, and accounting operations. Reviews financial reports for top management on the financial condition of the Hospital and its Special Projects. Reviews and recommends approval of policies and procedures of the Division. Prepares Income Tax returns and other BIR-related reports and other government reportorial requirements. Implements quality improvement measures as recommended and approved by the management (monthly). Works with the MIS unit to ensure the correctness of financial data. Oversees inventory recording and tracking. Supervises the preparation and implementation of the budget program of all the divisions/departments. Reviews consolidated forecasts and projections for the budget (annually). Certifies that all expenditures are within the approved program of expenditures. Checks vouchers for payment. Supervises and participates in the tasks/action programs/activities of the Division. Conducts performance evaluation of immediate subordinate every six months. Attends/represents the division in meetings. Performs other functions that may be assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
