This role involves preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns, maintaining accurate tax records, and assisting in audits and tax-related inquiries. The Tax Compliance Associate also helps implement best practices to ensure accuracy and timeliness in tax reporting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other government-required reports). Ensure compliance with BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) regulations and other government requirements. Maintain organized tax documentation and records for audit and reporting purposes. Assist in the reconciliation of tax accounts and verification of tax payments. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and clarifications. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information for tax filings and compliance. Assist in tax planning activities and identify areas for potential tax savings or risk mitigation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA board passer (an advantage but not required). At least 1–2 years of experience in tax compliance, accounting, or audit. Familiarity with BIR processes, eFPS, eBIRForms, and other online filing systems. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar). Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
