Overview

Software Engineer, Senior (Android Mobile Development) – Infor, Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines

Infor is a global leader in business cloud software products. This role involves designing, developing, and documenting Android mobile applications and implementing new functionality, with participation in estimation and planning activities. It also includes reviewing deliverables (designs, test plans, documentation) to identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design, bug corrections, release testing, and general availability support. Unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits are also conducted.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and document Android mobile applications and implement new functionality.
  • Provide estimation and planning activities for projects.
  • Review deliverables (designs, test plans, documentation) to identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design.
  • Conduct bug fixes, release testing, and general availability support which may require research, analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
  • Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise and continually expand knowledge and skills to stay current with evolving technology and business environment.
Required skills
  • 5+ years of technical experience in product design, programming and product support.
  • Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, programming and implementation.
  • Intermediate analytical and design skills at multiple product levels.
  • Good understanding of the entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Mobile Applications development using the following: Java Native, Eclipse, Android Studio, Android development using Java, Angular 1, PhoneGap/Apache Cordova, Ionic Framework, HTML5, Javascript, CSS, SQL.
  • Knowledge in Java OOP and Design patterns.
