Job Description

  • Design and Planning: Develop detailed designs and plans for construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and client requirements.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient execution.
  • Site Supervision: Monitor construction sites to ensure work is carried out according to plans, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Problem-Solving and Adjustments: Address design or construction challenges by providing practical solutions and adjustments to the project scope or methods.
  • Conducting Inspections: Perform site inspections and assessments, ensuring that materials and workmanship meet quality standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of progress, issues, and changes, and prepare regular reports for clients, contractors, and senior management.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: Incorporate environmentally sustainable practices and innovative technologies in project designs and construction methods.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensing and Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one, depending on local regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools for drafting and modeling.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve engineering challenges efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Project Management Experience: Familiarity with managing multiple projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in both design and construction activities.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in varying field conditions, sometimes requiring site visits or inspections in different environments.
